I recently got the opportunity to photograph my first maternity session in my natural light studio in my home in the Netherlands. I hope it’s the first of many!
If you’d like to have some timeless images of your bump, shot on film, that you can cherish for years to come, here is some info about my sessions.
Of course newborn photo sessions are also an option!
I will be in the Netherlands during the Autumn and Winter months. If the weather is too bad to work with natural light I will use artificial lighting but it will still have a natural look!
I shoot with my Contax 645, which is a medium format camera, on Fuji 400H, known for how beautifully it captures skin tones. The film is developed by Carmencita Film Lab in Valencia, Spain. They send me the digital scans. So you will receive high res digital files. But the difference with digital photography is the quality of a film image (even if it is a digital scan), the depth of the colours, the way the light is caught and the genuine grain. I feel that film is especially suitable for a maternity photo session, because of the fact that these are images you will cherish for the rest of your life. Film photos are classic and timeless, which is why they will still look great in fifty years time.
