On a beautifully sunny day in April I tagged along with this lovely couple who were staying in our Bed & Breakfast (Casa Capanni) on their trip to Pienza, the UNESCO heritage town in the Val d’Orcia in Tuscany. The drive to Pienza (from our B&B) is breathtaking. If you ask me, this town is the perfect location for a couple session or ‘loveshoot’ as it is called in Dutch. The town has streets, you see, named after very romantic things, such as ‘via del bacio, which means ‘kiss alley’ and ‘via del amore’ which means ‘love alley’! As always, the light in these Tuscan hilltop towns is an absolute photographer’s dream. I shot on both Fuji 400 (colour film) and Ilford 3200 (black and white with a lot of grain), and I love how these images have turned out! We had a lot of fun! Thanks to these two for a wonderful afternoon.
Are you planning a holiday in Tuscany? Of course I can highly recommend, without being at all biased of course ;-), B&B Casa Capanni! I am excited to announce that B&B guests receive a 20 % discount on a photo session with me, which can take place either in the garden at Casa Capanni amongst the olive trees, or in a beautiful hilltop town!
